Summer Haiku Series - Another Chance to Win an Orchid!

June 1, 2011

What is a haiku poem?

A Haiku is a Japanese poem of three lines using seventeen syllables. The first line has five syllables, the second has seven, and the last line has five. Example:

Just Add Ice Orchids
Just three ice cubes once per week
Simple orchid care

How Does It Work?

Each week, we will post a Haiku topic. Entrants can register and automatically be enrolled in the random drawing, or also participate through writing a Haiku to share on our blog! Starting on June 6, five random Haiku poems will be chosen from all of the entries for that week and you - our Just Add Ice fans – will get to vote for your favorite!

The top voted Haiku each week will win a FREE Just Add Ice Orchid and will have their poem featured on the Just Add Ice Facebook and Twitter pages. A random winner will also be chosen each week to win an orchid!

Then on August 8, your votes will decide which of the 8 weekly winners will take home the Grand Prize, a year supply of FREE orchids, that’s one for each season!

Winners will be notified via telephone or email and will be posted on the Just Add Ice Orchids Facebook and Twitter Pages. The Haiku topics will be posted each week via our blog – so make sure to subscribe - and connect with us on Facebook and Twitter to be the first to know the topics each week!

The Summer Haiku Series is administered through the Just Add Ice Orchids website, and therefore, you do not have to have a Facebook or Twitter account to participate.
