The holidays are here! During the holidays, we transform our everyday homes into winter wonderlands. There are angels on the mantle and snowmen in the entry. Santa and his reindeer seem poised to fly across the bookshelf, and a grove of silver candles grace the dining room table. Red and green, silver and gold -- the holidays sparkle with bright colors and special decorations. It just isn’t Christmas unless every nook and cranny of our homes is dressed for the holidays – and that includes our Just Add Ice Orchids!
If you’re looking for a little inspiration to put your Just Add Ice Orchids in the holiday mood, use these ideas to dress your orchids for the holidays:
- If you want to keep it simple, tie a festive ribbon around the orchid’s pot. Spools of holiday-themed ribbon can be purchased at craft stores. Encircle the orchid pot with a band of ribbon, using a couple of dots of glue to keep the ribbon from slipping. If desired, a bow can be added to the front. If you have several orchids, vary the ribbon color (don’t use more than 3 colors/designs) and width to create interest, putting bows on only a few pots.
- Place your orchid pots inside colorful holiday tins. If you are displaying 3 or more orchids, vary the height and size of the tins.
- Place orchids inside small holiday gift bags.
- Wrap gift boxes in Christmas wrap, leaving the tops open. Place an orchid plant inside each box.
